This project is intended to bring together the Ethiopian community members residing in Santa Monica by establishing contact and communication, and forming a volunteer committee.
CAD Lab: 3D Modeling/3D Printing Lessons

Casey and Kim will offer weekly classes to the Santa Monica community on the basics of 3D printing and modeling for people of all ages.
Sounds & Words for All

This event will feature an intimate interview and live performance with Maxayn Lewis and a preview screening of the score, "A Black Woman Speaks, and a Jam Session of -- The Black Cherry Gals" shot immersively at Capitol Studios.
Spa Residencies for Frontline Workers

Carol and Spa Embassy will sponsor spa residencies for workers, with a focus on those who have been on the frontlines during the pandemic. The support they will provide for these frontline workers will include stipends for childcare, transportation, and food.
Wheels that Heal

Cole and a student-led club from Santa Monica High School will refurbish donated bikes to those in the community. Please send an email to cityofwellbeing@gmail.com if you would like to donate a bike to support Cole’s project.
NAMI WestLA Spanish Peer Support Group

The Soilist: Project 2
Jane Monteagle

This project is a new phase of Jane’s Microgrant project work in which she creates a short film to document how a local homeowner creates a customized composting system that recycles onsite organic nutrients.
TAQ Talks: Black Trans & Queer Collective

Johnny and Healix have created Black TAQ Co. to create a safe space for Black Trans and Queer people to come together. TAQ Talks provide a space for community, healing, and education together.

This is an open series of workshops for Santa Monica community members to step into the Pico Neighborhood Partnership visions and upcoming projects. The series will center on empowering Black Indigenous People of Color spaces in our neighborhood and creating create pathways and pipelines for higher education, mental health, and solidarity.
Indigenous Native Awareness
Janette Antonio

For this project, Janette will create a short documentary about Indigenous Native People’s issues by interviewing indigenous native peoples living in Santa Monica and the surrounding area. The project will be ready by Indigenous People’s Day and will share local places and monuments to indigenous history and showcase people in the present day.
Sewing with Rosalinda

LA Homecoming

This project brings the spirit of HBCU Homecomings to Los Angeles, with community performances and panel discussions from powerful Black thought leaders, all while raising funds for technology and school supplies for Kipp Scholar LA classrooms.
