Dancing Abolition, Community, Care, Justice

"Dancing Abolition, Community, Care, Justice" in partnership with Dancing Through Prison Walls and 18th Street Arts Center brings an afternoon of dancing, poetry, and dialogue centered around the experience of incarceration.

Sunday, April 19th, 2-5 p.m.

Free + Open to the public at 18th Street Arts Center

Baile de Abolición, la Comunidad, el Cuidado, la Justicia" en colaboración con Dancing Through Prison Walls y el 18th Street Arts Center ofrece una tarde de baile, poesía y diálogo centrado en la experiencia de encarcelación.

Breaking Bread Our Side of Town 

Celebrate community and cross-cultural understanding through the lens of food!  "Breaking Bread", aims to highlight the rich, often-overlooked lived experiences and histories of Santa Monica residents. Join in to celebrate neighborhood belonging!

¡Celebre la comunidad y el entendimiento intercultural a través de la comida!  "Partiendo el pan", tiene como objetivo resaltar las experiencias e historias ricas, a menudo pasadas por alto de los residentes de Santa Mónica ¡Únase para celebrar la pertenencia a la vecindad!

Designed to destress and encourage wellbeing, this  event invites the community to participate in a morning walk or run followed by an activity focused on uplifting mental wellbeing and self-care through connecting with nature.

Diseñado para aliviar el estrés y fomentar el bienestar, este evento invita a la comunidad a participar en una actividad de caminar o correr en grupo, seguida de una actividad centrada en mejorar el bienestar mental y la practica del autocuidado a través de la conexión con la naturaleza.

Taller de Arreglos Florales [Spanish]

Diseñado para mejorar el bienestar mental de las comunidades latinas/hispanas, este taller invita a los hispanohablantes a encontrar una vía de escape artística y a crear conexiones con otros que comparten experiencias similares. May 7th. Email for more information: infor@hrcsantamonica.org

This creative workshop offers Spanish speakers an artistic escape, fostering a supportive environment to build connections with others who share similar experiences and ultimately enhance mental wellbeing within the Latino/Hispanic communities.
