What is the
Community Wellbeing
Program?
The Santa Monica Bay Area Human Relations Council (HRC) is committed to creating equitable opportunities for community members to develop their leadership skills and advance community wellbeing for all. The Community Wellbeing Program empowers residents as leaders in that effort.
To this end, the HRC selects cohorts of individuals who want to implement ideas that focus on small-scale action to improve community wellbeing in Santa Monica and the Westside LA area.
Selected leaders receive leadership development training opportunities, a $500 stipend and a materials fund managed by the HRC.
We are looking for individuals interested in co-creating an event or series of events. These events, scheduled to run from April 1st through June 1st, should aim to make an impact in one of the following areas: Mental Wellbeing, Mutual Defense, Community Belonging, and Economic Opportunity.
